On April 20th 2006, Cartiere del Garda products were FSC certified according to the credit system.
This certification states that all the cellulose used in our process originate from certified sources, in accordance with FSC-STD-40-004 standard, and from controlled sources.
The controlled sources must comply with another FSC® standard (the FSC-STD-40-005), thus guaranteeing that the substances used to produce the raw fibre material do not arrive from:
- areas where forests management violates civil or traditional rights;
- areas where forest management units threaten the preservation philosophy of forests;
- areas where there might be a number of genetically modified (GM) trees;
- units using illegal forests management practices;
- natural forests that have been converted into plantations or other, non-woodland use.
In order to have the chain of custody continued by our clients (merchants, printers, publishers, etc.), our products will be certified according to the credits system, and will be "useable" as a 100% FSC INPUT.
