The most remarkable feature of the system is the blade on blade coating device. This improves the process control and guaranties a practically perfect and smooth surface, crucial factors in subsequent printing. - Coating Kitchen
The various mixes for the coating are prepared in the Coating Kitchen, a highly computerised room, where chemical components are weighed out and blended.
Cartiere del Garda also uses two off-line coating machines dedicated to the two production lines mentioned above: the PMT off-line coater for the paper produced by PM2, and the Beloit coating machine for the lightweight paper produced by PM3.
